Hi, my name is Jordan Martin. I’m the director of a short film called “Leak.” Leak stars Rita Scranton. She’s an amazingly talented Oklahoma based actor and a member of the Deaf community. This film has had a wonderful festival journey. It’s played across the globe and even screened at the Festival de Cannes as part of their Short Film Corner. Every step of the way, we’ve been championing Rita’s work on screen, but the reality of the film festivals circuit is that there just isn’t a festival where Rita can celebrate and participate fully with no language barrier or accessibility in mind. Until now…

Leak has been accepted into will be screening in Hollywood at the SighLight International Film Festival SignLight isn’t your average film fest. It’s making history by bringing together the Deaf filmmaking community alongside its allies to celebrate and showcase the talent of Deaf filmmakers. The Leak team is so grateful to have the film be a part of such a historic event. But what we’d love more than anything is for Rita to be there…on the red carpet. Coming from Oklahoma, a trip like that unfortunately isn’t cheap. So, we are asking for your help! With your gift, you help send Rita to Hollywood! You can help cover the hotel and travel expenses and give her the red-carpet experience she deserves.
