Music has the power to change lives. At Excellence Sound Academy, we see it happen every day. We work with talented young people from inner-city communities who have powerful stories to tell, but often lack the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to fully develop their gifts. Many of these aspiring artists have the passion and creativity to succeed in the music industry—but financial barriers stand in the way.

That’s why we created the Rising Stars Unplugged Songwriters Camp 2026!

This August 13–16, we will bring together young artists ages 13–21 for an unforgettable three-day creative immersion experience at Camp Green Lane in Pennsylvania. Away from the noise and distractions of city life, students will focus on what matters most: creating music, building confidence, and discovering their voice.

During this camp, participants will:

Learn professional songwriting techniques including lyric writing, melody creation, and song structure Collaborate with other young artists who share their passion for music Record and produce original songs in guided creative sessions Receive mentorship from experienced music professionals Perform their music during a special playback session

For many of these students, this will be their first opportunity to step into a real creative environment designed to nurture their talent.

But we need your help to make it possible.

The typical cost for each student is $500, which covers transportation, lodging, meals, workshop materials, equipment, and mentorship. For many families in our community, this cost is simply out of reach.

Our goal is to raise funds to sponsor students so that no talented young artist is turned away because of financial hardship.

How the Funds Will Be Used

Your donations will help cover:

Student Sponsorships – $500 per student. 
This includes lodging, meals, transportation, and access to all workshops and recording sessions.

Music Equipment & Recording Resources
Professional microphones, recording tools, and songwriting materials used during camp.

Camp Facilities & Programming 
Cabins, meals, creative workshops, and group activities at Camp Green Lane.

Transportation for Students
Travel from the city to the camp location in Pennsylvania.

Every dollar you give helps remove barriers and creates opportunities for young artists who simply need a chance.
