Help send our wheelchair curling team to Nationals!

We are Team Smithies & are members of the Delta Thistle Curling Club in Delta, BC. Our team members are Marney Smithies, Kim Egger, Rob Spencer, Lelainia Lloyd & Jeff Smithies. We are coached by Martin Matsutani.

We were recently informed by Curl BC that our province has qualified to send two teams to the National Wheelchair Curling Championship in Montreal, Quebec Canada, April 28th-May 3rd, 2025. Our team is so excited to have this opportunity!

Curling Canada will cover the cost of airfare but the rest is up to us! We need to raise $7500 to send our team to Montreal.

We’ve been living at the rink on weekends, working hard with our coach Martin to prepare for this once in a lifetime opportunity to compete at this level. Each of us is fully committed to training hard & supporting one another to play our best.

We are reaching out to our community for financial support so that we can proudly represent our province, our club & our home communities. Representation matters!
