Irish Surfing will be sending a Junior Team to represent Ireland at the World Junior Surfing Championships, taking place in Punta Rocas, Peru, from December 5th–14th, 2025. This incredible event will bring together the best young surfers from around the world — and we are immensely proud that five of them are members of our own West Coast Surf Club.

Their selection to the Irish Junior Team is not only a huge personal achievement, but also a moment of pride for their families, coaches, and the entire West Coast Surf Club community. It reflects years of our volunteers commitment, teamwork, and shared belief in the power of sport to unite and inspire a community.

While the honour of representing Ireland is priceless, the journey to Peru comes with significant costs. The trip is self-funded, and each surfer must raise €3,450, covering flights, accommodation, transport, insurance, and competition expenses.

Rather than fundraising separately, our five West Coast surfers have chosen to come together as one team — supporting each other and sharing all funds equally. Their collective target is €17,250, ensuring every one of them can make it to the world stage.
