As a parent of one of these amazing kids who have worked so hard and made it through regionals, states, and now on to the World Competition for Kid Wind for natural alternative energy- I am putting this together as a sponsor for these kiddos to help raise funds to send ALL of the students to Phoenix Arizona to compete May 18-21, 2025.

Key Points

-This is the best showing Isle of Wight County Schools has ever had in this competition. Three teams from Smithfield High School placed 1st and 2nd at the States level, one of those being a team that placed 1st in the online submission during regionals gaining them a place straight to Worlds.

- We still need atleast $6,000 all donations May 1st in order to confirm hotel rooms and all other arrangements.

-Funds raised here will be combined with what we are able to get from the school system and any sponsorships we can secure.

-IF we exceed our fundraising goal, those dollars will be used toward future competition expenditures.

The High School KidWind teams were scored on the electrical output in 30 seconds in the wind tunnel, their presentation and an instant challenge. Our High School teams through Regional and State competitions not only took 1st and 2nd earning them their place to compete at Worlds, but also received awards for 'Best Blades' and the 'Sportsmanship' Award.

Please help support these amazing students and teachers that have worked so hard and put every effort into these accomplishments, learning and growing as not only students, but as individuals. Thier teamwork, dedication, and passion for learning are awe inspiring and such a wonderful thing to be a part of.
