On Monday morning, 08/26. Some time in the night, after spending a weekend doing one of the things that he loved the most on this earth, spending time with his closest friends, and his loving wife, Ed Comstock went to sleep and never woke up.
This man stood in the face of adversity, time and time again and continued to persevere. He inspired us, and we know that he inspired others. He tenaciously challenged himself to boldly go wherever the path before him led.
This kind, eccentric, bombastic, and frankly, hilarious man somehow managed to live a life not defined by the ails that he was stricken with. Despite multiple open heart surgeries, despite having a permanent limp, and despite slamming the door on death's face several times over his lifetime, he managed to travel all the time and all the space you could ever wish for without a spaceship, and he did it time and time again. Defying the expectations of many of his doctors, friends, and family.
But eventually, The Piper calls for all to join him.
Unfortunately, while he passed away in a truly poetic way, there's always going to be financial hardship in a time such as this. We are all mourning the loss of our loved one, and in the process, trying to put things back together. We are asking that ONLY if you can spare it, you help us get through this with a contribution to this fundraiser. Every penny will go toward family travel, funeral arrangements, cremation, etc.
