Help Send Micah to Mayo Clinic-Rochester MN

Hi, my name is Oralee; I am fundraising for my son Micah. When he was just six years old, we had to rush him to Kansas City Children's Hospital due to a health scare we had no clue about. Within two months, I watched my son go from a happy, healthy little boy to a boy fighting for his life. A month before his 7th birthday, he went into emergency surgery to remove all of his large intestines and begin the process of making a J_pouch with his small intestines. They never intended to remove all of his large intestines, but it was so dead and diseased. He had to have an ostomy bag for almost a year and tried several different kinds of medication, surgeries, and blood transfusions. When he was eight, we were told he had Crohn's Disease. Again, we tried several medications that would help him to no avail. Finally, he was put on Humira-He has been on that for about seven years.

Today, that medication is no longer working; we need to try something else. We need to get Micah to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, as soon as possible, so he does not go into a full-blown flair. Mayo is the number 1 hospital for Gastrointestinal doctors. He will have all the tests done, and we will have better answers than ever. So, please help send my son and me there.
