Help send Miami kittens to new homes up north

We have too many kittens in Miami!  Thankfully, we have amazing transport partners in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast.  On Sunday, June 7, 2020 we are sending felines north so they can find loving homes.

This year will be a particularly difficult kitten season since both Miami Dade Animal Services and Humane Society of Greater Miami had to close down their community cat sterilization efforts, and the Miami Veterinary Foundation ran out of funding in May.  Therefore, we are hoping to increase the number of felines we transport to areas that have a shortage rather than an overabundance of kitties for adoption.

Our cats have tested negative for Feline Leukemia & Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, received two 3-day courses of panacur and ponazuril, have been treated with Revolution, were vaccinated twice with FRCP and have had two negative fecal exams.  Foster parents pay for all medical treatment, as well as food, litter, etc.

Normally we sterilize all felines before sending them on transport, but as stated above we have not been able to access sufficient surgical slots.  Our partner organization operates a High Quality, High Volume spay/neuter clinic and will sterilize all kittens before they are placed for adoption.

Estimated cost of the transport includes:

Cargo van rental & insurance:      $300
Gas & tolls:                                                $600
Driver lodging & meals:                     $150

Please donate whatever you can to help us take kitties to their new families and homes.  Thank you!
