On November 11, 2021, I received a life-saving kidney transplant. What followed wasn’t easy — complications, setbacks, hospital stays for 2 1/2 years! Then in April of 2024 my body began to heal and I had 6 good months. Then in November 2024, on my 3 year anniversary, I went into Antibody Mediated Rejection. Surviving that changed me, Completely! It reminded me just how precious this gift of life truly is.
By God’s grace, I am here today. I believe God put a mission in my heart to share the gift of life, honor my donor’s legacy, and help others walk through their own valleys.
Because of my donor Fauna and her brave family, I am alive. I am leading Fauna Transplant Support helping others affected by transplant and advocating for organ donation every chance I get.
Now I have the opportunity to compete at the Transplant Games of America June 18–23 in Denver — a National Celebration of Life that Honors Donors and showcases what transplant recipients and living donors can achieve. I’m raising funds to help cover travel, meal, lodging, and registration expenses. This isn’t just a trip — it’s a chance to honor Fauna and represent Team Iowa and show that transplantation works.
Thank you for supporting this journey and helping me compete because Fauna gave me a second chance at life. I want to honor her legacy and her family.
Thank you,
Reagan
