Hello, I'm Marita Bos, a freshman at USC Thornton School of Music. I am majoring in Vocal performance.
This summer I have the incredible opportunity to attend a Young Artist Program in Verona, Italy.
"Opera Viva! offers young singers, collaborative pianists, and stage directors the opportunity to experience the musical and cultural riches of Italian opera through study and performance in Verona, Italy. Students will immerse themselves in a three week comprehensive opera program offering a full range of classes and activities, culminating in public performances. Tuition for this program, not including airfare, is $4900.
As a young artist, I am thrilled to participate in this amazing experience! My dream is to make a difference in the world through music. Every time I perform I see smiles appear on the faces of people in the audience. Every time I partake in a musical community engagement program for children, I feel so rewarded in seeing their cheerful faces.
After my return from Italy, I will be working with the Los Angeles Opera for their summer opera camp, for ages 18 and younger.
Being a part of Opera Viva is an important step towards my dream!
In order to attend I need your help with funding. Any amount you are able to give is greatly appreciated.
