Hi I’m Melanie and this is my daughter Logan, a rising star in the making. Logan has been given a golden opportunity to embark on a life-changing journey with her drama club to New York City next month. The trip includes two Broadway shows, an acting intensive led by a seasoned Broadway coach and is a dream opportunity for any aspiring performer.

Logan’s journey isn’t without challenges. Just last weekend, she faced an unexpected trial, kind of a performers nightmare (or at least a performers mom’s nightmare ). As the star of her high school production of “Legally Blonde” at Booker T Washington High School, Logan poured her heart and soul into every rehearsal, every scene, every note. But fate had other plans. On the morning of the first show, her voice began to falter, she woke up hoarse and raspy, not feeling her best.

Yet, like a true champion, Logan refused to back down. With unwavering determination, she stepped onto that stage, her voice strained but her confidence unbroken. Show after show, she pushed through, improvising when needed, with backup from her incredible team, delivering a stellar performance.

Logan’s resilience, her tenacity, her sheer willpower – they are inspiring. And now, as she stands on the brink of this incredible opportunity, I can’t help but feel so proud of her.
