Help Send Keynsham RFC U13’s Rugby Team on a Life-Changing Tour to France!
Rugby is more than just a game—it’s a way of life. It teaches valuable lessons in teamwork, respect, resilience, and friendship. It shapes young players into the future leaders of our community. The coaches of the Keynsham RFC Under-13s team are dedicated to providing the best possible experiences for these young athletes, not just on the pitch but in life. That's why, as coaches and family members, we are rallying together to send our incredible team on an unforgettable rugby tour to France in 2026!
Why This Tour Matters
The journey of our U13s team is something truly special. These young players, aged 12 and 13, come from different schools, backgrounds, and walks of life, but when they step onto the rugby field, something magical happens. They may have started as strangers, but through hours of training, tackling, and pushing each other to the limit, they’ve become a team—one that understands the power of trust, communication, and mutual support.
Rugby is more than just a sport to them; it’s teaching them valuable life skills. They’ve learned to embrace challenges with confidence, respect those around them, and support each other through thick and thin—both on and off the field. These lessons in resilience, discipline, and teamwork will guide them throughout their lives and help shape them into responsible, community-minded adults. This tour to France will allow them to grow even further, experiencing rugby culture at its heart and forming bonds that will last a lifetime.
The First Challenge: Climbing Pen y Fan
To kickstart our fundraising efforts, our young players, parents, and coaches will be taking on the challenge of climbing Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales, on Sunday 15th June 2025. It’s a tough climb, but with teamwork and determination—just like in rugby—we will reach the top together!
The Second Challenge
Support us in our 2nd challenge, walking from the home of Bath Rugby at the Recreation Ground to Bristol Bears at Ashton Gate on Sunday 5th October.
We invite you to support our challenges. Every donation will help us get one step closer to making this dream tour a reality. We’ll be organising more challenges in the future to keep the momentum going, but this is just the beginning.
How You Can Help
We need to raise funds to cover travel, accommodation, and all the essentials for this trip to make it a success for everyone involved. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference. Your support will give these young athletes the opportunity of a lifetime, and we need you to help make it happen.
If you can’t donate, sharing this page and spreading the word is just as valuable. The Keynsham RFC family is built on community spirit, and together, we can show these kids how much their local community believes in them and supports them.
Let’s make this dream come true for our U13’s rugby team, your donation will have a lasting impact on their lives. Thank you for your support!
