To some this might sound frivolous, but for 40 years, artist Kate Brown has been working toward a goal. Now, her work will be included in an exhibition curated by @John Yau at www.artcake.org

that opens on Saturday Sept 6th. Kate needs to be there in.person to represent her work and make important connections for going forward.

Times are not easy for anyone these days, and unbeknownst to most Kate Brown has been managing on a very meager monthly income for some years. Up until now she has managed but with the economic climate and the Canada/ US exchange rate, the cost of transportation alone is prohibitive. The estimated expenses from Wed Sept 3rd to Tuesday Sept . Approx 600.00 for transportation- return flight plus bus from Huntsville to New York. According to Google one should budget 85.00 a day US which is 117.00 Cn, transportation in the city 200.00. As well as 300.00 to ship the work. Fortunately, Kate is able to stay with a friend so that expense is taken care of.
