If you know Kasen, you know he’s the kind of kid who loves figuring things out. The kind who will build something, take it apart, and then build it again a completely different way just to see if it works better.

Which is exactly why Odyssey of the Mind has been such a perfect place for him.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international competition where teams of students solve complex problems using engineering, creativity, teamwork, and a lot of outside-the-box thinking. The kids design their own solutions, build their own devices and props, and present their ideas — all with minimal adult help. It’s basically engineering mixed with imagination.

They also compete in something called Spontaneous, where they’re given a surprise problem and have to solve it on the spot. Think teamwork, quick thinking, and some very creative ideas.

Kasen’s team has worked incredibly hard this season, and they are now headed toward the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at Iowa State University, where teams from around the world gather to compete.

Watching these kids brainstorm, build, and solve problems together has honestly been amazing.

The reality part

Getting kids to World Finals unfortunately comes with some big costs — registration, travel, lodging, and competition expenses.

Our goal is to raise $1,600 to help cover Kasen’s portion of the trip so he can have the chance to compete on the world stage with his team.

Why this matters

Programs like Odyssey of the Mind teach kids skills that go way beyond school:

⚙️ Engineering and design thinking
Creative problem solving
Teamwork and collaboration
Confidence and innovation

These kids are learning that sometimes the best solutions come from the wildest ideas.

How you can help

If you’re able to donate, even a small amount helps Kasen get one step closer to competing at World Finals.

If donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser means the world to us.

Thank you for cheering on Kasen and supporting a group of kids who are learning to think big and build even bigger ideas.
