A group of supporters of triathlete Jen Annett want to send her and her family (Jason and Nixon) to compete at the Ultraman World Championships. This event takes place over 3 days during the US thanksgiving weekend and covers 320 miles of swimming, biking and running. Jen recently won Ultraman Canada (2024) and set a Woman’s World’s best time.

We felt there are many people in the community and the triathlon world that would love to support Jen if given the opportunity. Our group strongly believes she deserves this chance to showcase her incredible abilities on the world stage.

It is important to support this woman and athlete who is an incredible role model.

Jen is a wife, Mom and triathlete, and works full time while maintaining an intense training schedule. She is regularly up at 4am to get her training completed before the start of her “regular” day. She is regimented with her training and family is never left behind.

Jen, Jason and Nixon will travel to Kona approximately a week before the event to acclimatize and train. Supporters and crew will arrive closer to the event date. Funds raised will cover accommodation, car rental, flights and entry fees. The combination of the US exchange rate, the US holiday weekend, and this location make these costs high.

Jen’s crew plays a vital role for her success over the 3 days of racing. Each competitor must provide a crew who supports the athlete throughout the entire event. Crew members kayak alongside Jen during the swim, provide nutrition and bike support, and pace runners during the double marathon.

Fundraising efforts will go first to Jen, Jason and Nixon. It’s Jen and Jason’s wish that any additional funds raised go to support their crew who are willing to travel at their own cost, which will be significant. They will be taking time off work to support Jen, and their days will be busy and long.

With the support of the Penticton Triathlon club, we have set up a bank account for donations. All funds donated here will be sent directly to the Triathlon Club.
