Hi y'all! My name is J'Dyn Hook, AKA Psychosis #333 on the track.
I am looking for your support to help me make it to the Men's Roller Derby World Cup in Orleans, France with API Fury!
This is a two-week trip as I am leaving April 23 and coming home May 8th.
I have been involved in Roller Derby for 4 years. I have been a skater, official, and a skater coach. I started off playing for Tomorrowland Junior Roller Derby in 2022, then after a season, double-charted with Seattle Derby Brats Galaxy Team in the 2023 season. For my last JRDA season, I charted only in the Female division and skater-coached Seattle Derby Brats Ultraviolets. During this time, I was a Jam ref and a back OPR for numerous JRDA bouts. I ended my JRDA career earning third in the nation with Galaxy. I now skate for Jet City All Stars and Jet City B-52s, located in Everett, WA.
My journey to skate in the Men's World Cup was never expected. I attended Men's Team USA Tryouts in November, which gave me a huge insight into my personal skills and my goals. I walked away from that tryout with my spark back. That edge that drives you to be better and better every day. It was that spark that drove me to submit my application for API Fury. As a multi-racial Asian female, I grew up with my Korean Nana who taught me everything—my love for my culture, food, and language. I would not be who I am today without her. Representing Asian Pacific Islander Fury in the Men's World Cup is something that I have never thought I was capable of doing. But with the support from you, my family and friends, I know I can do anything, from being Miss West Sound's Teen 2025 to skating in the Men's World Cup.
Thank you for helping my dreams come true, for always supporting my crazy ideas, and for being in my corner. Without you, I would never even dream of this opportunity. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
