Hi, my name is Hailey, and I need your help to send me abroad.

I have been selected to study opera in a three-week intensive summer program in ITALY! One of the PLU music faculty invited me to audition after hearing me perform as Giannetta in Elixir of Love. One thing leads to another, and now I'm going from singing in Lagerquist to singing abroad.

My trip to Piobicco, Italy will take place from July 1st-July 22nd of this year. In this program, I will study with phenomenal vocal coaches and directors, will be immersed in Italian culture, and will have the opportunity to sing opera in the Brancaleoni Castle!

I was invited to perform in two opportunities: in Le Nozze di Figaro, and the Emerging Artists Opera Scenes program! I will get to do both during my stay, and I am so excited.

My newfound dream of continuing to study opera is becoming fulfilled through this program. I am proud of the progress I have made, and cannot wait to grow even further. Time for my first out-of-country and trans-Atlantic excursion!
