In 1965, Gumaro Carmona crossed from Mexico to the United States to build his life. He lived every day like it was wild and precious, building family and friends from Wisconsin to Texas to Mexico. Now, Gumaro is crossing once again, for the final time. His family and loved ones are by his side as he transitions.

Because all hospital beds in Amarillo were full with COVID patients, Gumaro was flown 500 miles to El Paso for end of life medical care, making family support, visits, and planning for services extremely taxing. Gumaro’s family is looking for immediate help with travel costs to pay for his transportation back to Amarillo, services, and support for the family who have had to take extended time off work to support him while he transitions.
