Help send Genesis Ramirez to team Puerto Rico trials

My name is Genesis Ramirez, and I am a sophomore at Aurora University, where I continue to pursue my lifelong passion for wrestling. Alongside my athletic career, I am dedicated to my education, double majoring in Criminal Justice and Spanish, while also minoring in Homeland Security and Coaching Youth Sport Development.

I began wrestling at the age of seven in Puerto Rico, and my journey has led me to compete at the collegiate level with Aurora University.

As a freshman, I had a strong start by placing 4th at the 2023 Midlands Championships. Midway through the season, I was honored as the CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year, and I ended the year as an All-American at the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championship, finishing 8th place at Nationals. I also earned the prestigious Scholar All-American award for my dedication to both academics and athletics.

My sophomore year has been another step forward in my career. I again placed 4th at the 2024 Midlands Championships and secured a 3rd place finish at the NCAA Division III National Invite. I was also named the CCIW Women’s Wrestling Most Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year (2024-2025) and became a national qualifier. Once again, I earned the Scholar All-American award, demonstrating my continued commitment to excelling both on and off the mat.

One of my biggest dreams is to represent Puerto Rico at the Olympics, and I am actively working towards making that a reality. To help fund this journey, I am seeking sponsors and donations to cover my travel, competition entry fees, and other necessary expenses. With the support of Debbie Muñoz-Galván, Ricardo Galván, and Carlos Muñoz-Flores, we are organizing other options on donating money and launching a GoFundMe campaign.

As a token of appreciation, I will be creating a custom shirt featuring the names of my sponsors, which I will wear during warm-ups and in photos to showcase my gratitude.

Mi nombre es Genesis Ramirez y soy estudiante de segundo año en Aurora University, donde continúo persiguiendo mi pasión de toda la vida por la lucha libre. Junto con mi carrera atlética, estoy comprometida con mi educación, cursando una doble especialización en Justicia Criminal y Español, además de una especialización secundaria en Seguridad Nacional y Desarrollo del Deporte Juvenil.

Comencé a luchar a los siete años en Puerto Rico, y mi trayectoria me ha llevado a competir a nivel universitario con Aurora University.

Como estudiante de primer año, tuve un gran comienzo al obtener el 4to lugar en el Midlands Championships 2023. A mitad de temporada, fui honrada como la Estudiante-Atleta de Primer Año del Año en la CCIW y terminé el año como All-American en el Campeonato Nacional Universitario de Lucha Femenina, finalizando en 8vo lugar a nivel nacional. También recibí el prestigioso premio Scholar All-American por mi dedicación tanto a los estudios como al deporte.

Mi segundo año ha sido otro gran paso en mi carrera. Nuevamente obtuve el 4to lugar en el Midlands Championships 2024 y logré un 3er lugar en el NCAA Division III National Invite. Además, fui nombrada la Estudiante-Atleta Más Destacada del Año en Lucha Femenina de la CCIW (2024-2025) y me clasifiqué para la competencia nacional. Una vez más, fui reconocida con el premio Scholar All-American, demostrando mi continuo compromiso con la excelencia tanto dentro como fuera del tapiz.

Uno de mis más grandes sueños es representar a Puerto Rico en los Juegos Olímpicos, y estoy trabajando activamente para hacerlo realidad. Para ayudar a financiar este camino, estoy buscando patrocinadores y donaciones que cubran mis gastos de viaje, inscripciones a competencias y otros costos esenciales. Con el apoyo de Debbie Muñoz-Galván, Ricardo Galván y Carlos Muñoz-Flores, estamos organizando rifas y lanzando una campaña en GoFundMe.
