HELP SEND EVAN TO CARNIGIE HALL

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Angie and I'm trying to raise $2500 to send my son Evan to Carnigie Hall in New York. Evan is 17 yrs old and a senior at Deland High School. For the last 4 years he has played the euphonium for the Deland High School Marching Bulldogs. As a part of the band he has played in the Symphonic Orchestra, is a part of the Jazz Ensemble, as well as the Wind Ensemble which is reserved for only the best musicians. To say Evan has excelled at playing music would be an understatement. He has been 1st chair all county the last 2 years on the euphonium and also all county jazz on bass trombone.
This year the Wind Ensemble has earned the opportunity to play at Carnigie Hall in New York City. It's the opportunity of a lifetime. Some musicians play their entire lives and will never get the chance to play there.
** Evans first night in New York will be highlighted by a trip to the Empire State Building where he will get to view the beautiful city from atop the world famous land mark.
** Day 2 in New York will be a busy day for Evan. He will visit the Statue of Liberty followed by a trip to the 9/11 Memorial. To cap off his second day in New York, Evan will get to go to Broadway to watch a musical.
** Day 3 is performance day. Evan and the Wind Ensemble will play at Carnigie Hall.

As a parent, I couldn't be prouder of my son. Unfortunately I can't afford to send Evan to New York and so I'm asking for donations to help raise the money. Evans father passed away when Evan was 4 years old and I've been unable to work since Jabuary 1st of last year due to an accident in which I almost lost my life. I spent the first week of 2021 in a coma and a year later I'm still dealing with the physical and emotional toll it has taken on my body. It's hard for me to ask anyone for help but I can't let Evan miss out on this amazing opportunity. If your a parent you understand. We do our best to give our children what they need and support them as they pursue their dreams. Please donate if you can and if you're unable to please share our story.

To my son Evan,
I am proud of you and love you more than you could ever imagine. You're turning 18 in a couple months and it's hard believe how quick the time has passed. I'm proud of the man you're becoming and can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for you. Don't ever stop dreaming.
Love
Mom
