Team Hurricane Helpers of Terrace Park Elementary in Cincinnati, Ohio have made history for their school. By tying for 2nd place at the State Regional Tournament for Destination Imagination, they now qualify to take their team service project all the way to the organization’s Global Final Tournament at the end of May! The team of 7 4th graders chose to help school children at Juanita Garcia Peraza Elementary in Puerto Rico, whose school was impacted by Hurricane Maria. With the help of their two team managers, the team sold “Wishes for Puerto Rico” ornaments throughout their community to raise funds to cover the cost of school supplies for the students. Now, with the help of their community, we need to help fulfill THEIR wishes to take this service project ALL THE WAY TO GLOBALS so they can continue helping the children of Puerto Rico! Thank you for helping these amazing students leaders!
