Help Send Derby University Volleyball Team to Bournemouth!

One of the most important highlights of our season is the Bournemouth Beach Volleyball Tournament, taking place in June 5th-6th, as university teams from across the UK gather to compete on the sand. It's an amazing opportunity for us to spend quality time with our team members who will be graduating or moving away as four of them are, as well as an experience to grow into a closer, more bonded team, competing for Bucs points representing our University.

Due to unforeseen circumstances before the Women’s 1st team’s semi-final against Durham, complications came up through Volleyball England, the club was hit with a large fine of 1k, this unexpected expense has severely impacted our budget leaving us unable to fully self-fund our trip between the 12 students which were expected to compete.

Originally, the money is used annually to pay for tournament fees and accommodation, without it we have to back out of the tournament, leaving all our training and preparation since the 5th of March to be futile.

Any donations big or small would help us out massively and bring us closer to our goal, whether you’re a fan of the team through friends, family or just someone who would like to support student athletes to compete, we would be incredibly grateful. We will set plenty of challenges we’d have to do for every milestone reached.

Derby Volleyball also recently competed in Portugal Deep Dish tournament, were they excelled;

Hajar and Kalysta won the top Women's 2s.

Morgan and Clara won the 2nd division Women’s 2s

Sam Miller and Kalysta won mixed gender 2s.
