Help Send Clara Home to Guatemala

The John Muir Elementary community in Seattle, WA were incredibly saddened to learn that Clara Junaj, mother of Jaida (6) and Jarel (2) recently passed away. Jaida is a Muir student and is beloved by many. We asked Clara's family how we can show up for them during this difficult time, and would like to share their words with you.

"She was a good mother, good sister and a great aunt. She was always there and would try to make people smile, even on the hardest times. She had a great heart when it came to helping others when people needed it. She was always very strong and especially when it came down to her two beautiful kids, she was always trying to be joyful; trying her best to make people laugh. We'll miss her dearly. The Junaj family are asking for your help in honoring Clara's wish to be brought home to her village in Guatemala to be buried."

We are asking for your support in helping to cover the cost to send Clara home ($6,500) and we are hoping to raise an additional $5,000 to be used to support Jaida and Jarel during this time. We hope this money will support healing and care for Jaida, Jarel, and their family, and help to provide some financial security during an otherwise uncertain time. Thank you for your consideration.
