Hi everyone,

My name is Beau Chartrand, and I’m proud to share that I’ve earned a spot on the U17 Cadet Canadian National Wrestling Team! I’ll be representing Canada at the 2025 Pan-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the World Championships in Athens, Greece.

This opportunity is the result of years of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance, but now I need your help to make the next step possible.

These events are self-funded, and the total cost of travel, training, and registration is approximately $8,000. All funds raised will go directly toward expenses including:

I come from the small Métis community of St. Laurent, Manitoba, a place that shaped who I am and instilled in me the values of resilience, hard work, and pride in my heritage. Growing up in a rural community meant limited access to high-level training and competition, but I never let that stop me. Wrestling has always been more than just a sport, it’s been a way to push through adversity and prove to myself that anything is possible.

In September, I made the life-changing decision to move across the country to Vancouver, BC in pursuit of better training opportunities. It meant leaving behind everything I knew, my home, my culture, my family and everything familiar, but I knew it was the right move if I wanted to reach my full potential. Every day, I train with purpose, pushing through challenges to make it this far.

I’m not just wrestling for myself. I’m wrestling for every small-town kid who’s ever been told their dreams are too big, for every Indigenous youth looking for a reason to believe in themselves, and for everyone who’s had to work twice as hard for half the chance.

Now, with your help, I hope to proudly represent Canada, and my Métis roots on the international stage.
