"What I love about camp is having fun and meeting new friends".

We are trying to raise enough money to send Ali to Camp Hurontario in the Georgian Bay. Ali is a Syrian refugee who has been in Canada since the spring of 2017. He was given the opportunity to attend camp for 2 weeks the last 2 summers but this year, having just turned 15, the only option available is a full month in August! When Ali is here in the city he goes to high school as well as working a part-time job. On top of those responsibilities, anytime any of his 5 siblings need to see me for medical care, Ali accompanies the family to act as translator.
Hurontario is not the cheapest camp in town, but it has been a pretty amazing experience for Ali... so while he could go to another camp, he really has his heart set on returning to Camp Hurontario. The cost of camp includes his stay at camp as well as the cost of a 9-10 day canoe trip.
