Many of you know I have family in the Bahamas. While God has been gracious in keeping them safe from harm, I have family in Freeport, Grand Bahama, who have lost their home and are attempting to salvage what they can through the debris and seaweed, and others who have experienced various levels of damages after Hurricane Dorian. I am asking not only for any amount you can spare to help them to rebuild through this devastating time, but also for your continued prayers to keep their spirits high when most would falter. While we look at the destruction from afar, they walk out their doors everyday feeling blessed as survivors, but facing a long road back to normalcy. Please share and keep us in your prayers!

Who you are and where you’re from? Cheaka Burise, born in Nassau, Bahamas. Now living in Smyrna, GA.
Your relationship or contact to the parties you're raising funds for? I am the daughter of the Dean family, the niece of the Millers, the cousin of the Spencer family, and the McDonalds, who have all been impacted by Hurricane Dorian.
How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)? To pay first and last month's rent plus security deposit for apartment after losing home, to purchase and ship a generator, purchase cases of water, food stuff, cleaning supplies, trash bags for all the debris everywhere, hot plate, basic essentials (all the stuff you buy when you have lost everything), laundry detergent, transportation (due to lost vehicles), and to cover the costs to ship supplies by boat from Nassau to Freeport.
Your withdrawal plan to get the funds from the campaign to the ultimate beneficiary/ies? Since GoFundMe does not support withdrawals directly from the Bahamas, I have to deposit to my account and then Cashapp the money to the Spencers, and to my cousin, T. Lewis, in Nassau who is expediting the shipping. The rest of the money will be directly transferred from my account to D. McDonald's Commonwealth Bank account in the Bahamas.
