Ysgol Heol Goffa is a Additional Learning Needs school in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with a wide range of additional learning needs (ALN), including autism, physical disabilities, and complex learning difficulties. We believe every child deserves the chance to thrive — and sometimes, that means heading to the mountains!

For over 30 years, our skiing programme has helped pupils build confidence, develop physical skills, make friends, and experience the joy of trying something completely new. Some have even gone on to compete in the Special Olympics British and World Winter Games!

What We’re Raising Money For

We’re fundraising to help 9 pupils aged 14–19 take part in a life-changing ski trip to Folgaria, Italy in March 2026. This trip will give them the chance to:

• Grow in confidence

• Learn new skills

• Make lasting memories

• Train for future opportunities — including the 2028 Special Olympics Winter Games

What Your Donation Will Help Cover

• Flights and travel

• Hotel accommodation and meals

• Ski equipment hire and lessons (5 hours/day for 6 days)

• Ski passes and storage

• Evening activities

• Extra support and adaptations to ensure every pupil can participate safely
