Help Send 1 of 2 Scottish Students to United Space School
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Adrian. I am a secondary school student in Scotland and one of only two students chosen to represent Scotland at the United Space School, Houston in 2024. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity as I have always dreamed of the possibility of working in the awe-inspiring field of space exploration and development. I hope to one day make a meaningful contribution to learning more about our planet's origins and how to protect it for future generations.
However, before I can take up my place at the United Space School, I need to fundraise the required international travel costs of £1,600. My secondary school has been kindly supporting me to host various fundraising events throughout the school year and so far I have raised approximately £600 with many thanks to each of my existing donors and sponsors. However, in order to reach my target I need help from the wider world and am therefore appealing to kind readers like yourselves to help me make it to the United Space School.
The 2024 United Space School is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to gain invaluable aerospace instruction and mentoring as I participate a variety of space related activities including at Johnson Space Center, Space Center Houston, Rice University and George Observatory and work collaboratively with other international students to complete a successful Mission to Mars project. You can find out more about the United Space School on their website www.unitedspaceschool.org.
I pledge to apply my academic dedication, having achieved straight As in each of my N5 exams and the top academic award for year S4, and the teamwork and leadership skills I have developed through my participation in the Duke of Edinburgh's bronze, silver and gold Awards and previous position as elected student council representative. I aim to make my secondary school in Scotland, each of my sponsors and the United Space School very proud. Please help me to make this dream a reality. Thank you so much for helping me to achieve this mission.
Yours gratefully,
Future Astronaut Adrian
