Since Sena went viral online, we've been blown away by peoples love for her and her story. It's one short of a miracle and everyone is happy to see her glow up and finally enjoy life in her senior age.
To get Sena to where she is today, we've had countless vet trips over the last 8 months and spent thousands. A few close friends donated in the beginning, but we decided asking for money is not something we wanted to do, especially as it was our decision to take her in. We hadn't really considered the financial implications we would face, but we've made it work.
However, with Senas new potential problems and now needing care at a Pet Hospital rather than local vet, we are struggling to afford to keep paying out of pocket. Obviously, we adore her and will do everything we can. And we really hate asking for support. But so many people have told us to set up a GoFundMe, and the timing of her going viral alongside these new complications showing seems a little like fate.
Today we had Sena at the hospital for CT scan after she's been on and off screaming in pain the past few weeks. It's got progressively worst and the doctors are assuming it's something spinal or brain related. The visit today alone, with blood tests, the scan, medicine etc has cost us £457.54 (19,690 thai baht). I paid a deposit before then the remainder when I collected her. That's just for tests.
This is before we've even got her results, which might lead to her needing surgery, and we can't even fathom the cost of what that might be. But she deserves it. She's the happiest little girl that constantly wags her tail, so we will do anything we can to help her recover.
With all that being said, any small amount would mean the world to us, and to Sena. I'm currently setting the figure just to cover the cost of todays tests, and then if she needs surgery or further treatment I will increase the target if we feel necessary - but we will only ever ask for enough to cover big treatments going forward. Thank you so much.
