Hi! My name is Semiah and I have been selected to compete with Compound Juniors on Team Canada 2024! Team Canada is not funded by the government which means all participants have to pay for travels/accomodation. The money will go towards my travel, rehearsal and the hotel costs for when we head to North Macedonia in October!
I started dancing back in summer of 2021 at VibeStreet Dance and immediately fell in love with it. I had been begging my mom to let me try dance and hip hop was the style I chose. We looked for so long for a studio that I might like and came across VibeStreet Dance. Dance became my biggest passion and it became my safe space where I could express myself and feel comfortable. Being accepted for Team Canada is not only such an amazing opportunity to put myself out there and grow as a dancer, but also to make new connections/friendships with new people and learn so much more about hip hop
