Help Selma Battle Breast Cancer

Hello, my name is Eric Nelson and I am the son of Selma Nelson who is the most generous and kindhearted woman I have ever known. She has always put our family first and to this day still ensures that her family and those less fortunate do not go without. Recently Selma was diagnosed with breast cancer which is something she never thought would happen. It has been a struggle over the past few weeks as she is told that she needs immediate treatment while also being told that in order for her treatment to be covered her insurance will need to change next year. While we are looking at these insurance changes which are a months away and we find ways to financially cover the long term cost for her battle with cancer there are still immediate costs that far exceed her means. She has been told to start treatment within 2 weeks, but that the treatment comes with a full upfront payment. Nobody should have to decide whether they receive life saving treatment or not based on their financial status. She would never ask for help from anyone, but many of those who she has helped throughout her life never asked for help either; she just did it. She has been there to support so many of her family and friends and I think the time for us to rally around her. This is only one way for us to show her how much she means to us and to say that we are with her along this journey.
