Hi everyone,
I’m coming to you as a parent with a full heart, asking for your help for my daughter, Selena.
Selena dreams of becoming a CRNA. She wants to dedicate her life to caring for others, and that dream comes from a place of deep understanding. She has spent much of her young life facing serious medical challenges, including an autoimmune disease and multiple surgeries. She knows what it feels like to be scared, to be in pain, and to rely on compassionate healthcare workers. That is why she wants to give back and be that person for someone else one day.
There were times when things felt overwhelming, when life did not feel fair, and when she could have given up. But she did not. Instead, she held on. She pushed through every obstacle with strength and determination that inspires me every single day.
School became her safe place. Her purpose. Her way forward.
Today, Selena is not only surviving, she is thriving. She has grown into a strong, compassionate, and driven young woman who truly believes in her future.
Being accepted into the Stanford Summer Session is more than just an academic opportunity. It is a symbol of everything she has overcome. It is proof that her hard work, her resilience, and her courage matter. This program will give her the chance to learn, grow, and stand among other students who are just as driven, and it will bring her one step closer to the life she has fought so hard for.
As much as we wish we could do this on our own, the cost of tuition, housing, and travel is more than we can afford right now.
That is why I am asking for your help.
Every single donation, no matter how small, is not just financial support. It is encouragement. It is belief. It is a reminder to Selena that people see her, believe in her, and want her to succeed.
If you are not able to give, sharing this would mean everything to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read Selena’s story and for being part of her journey. Your kindness and support truly mean more than words can express.
With all my gratitude
