Hello, my name is Selah. I'm a mama to two beautiful children: my daughter Elise, who is 7 and in first grade, and my son, who is 5 and currently goes to a school for children with autism. I recently graduated from nursing school and landed my dream job. My only mission in life has been to give my babies the life I never had growing up (everyone who knows me knows this).

Unfortunately, on November 22nd, our world was shaken when the kiddos and I were in an accident where someone ran the red light and totaled my only vehicle. We were okay, thank the good Lord, but unfortunately, due to the amount owed on my car and what it was worth, I am not receiving even half of what I owe on it. I do fortunately have gap insurance, but at the moment, I am unsure if they will even be able to cover the full remainder, if any at all, due to me getting behind on some payments while I was in school and struggling to work as much as before, and attending school along with clinical and studying.

Making this GoFundMe is one of the most humbling things I’ve ever done. I am always the one helping, and to be in this position is scary, to say the least.

Without a vehicle, I cannot get my children to school, my son to his therapies and appointments, and getting to work will be a struggle. Uber is popular right now, but it is unrealistic to pay over $100 a day just for work and the children’s school. Not only that, my son has multiple appointments a month along with my daughter.

I am fully aware that everyone is struggling one way or another right now, and with Christmas coming up, it’s even harder. If donating isn’t feasible for you, all that I ask is for you to please say a prayer for my children and me that we some way, somehow figure out a solution to this massive problem.
