Help Sega Beat Heartworms for a Healthy Life
Donation protected
Hey there, we are the Nichols family raising money for our new dog Sega that we adopted last week. He is the sweetest, most loving dog to ever live. We knew that he had heartworms when we adopted him and planned to do the slow method that is very effective in most cases. No one realized how sick he truly was because he sleeps most of the day, but his small cough started to worsen in the few days we've had him, causing him to be very sick all the time.
The fast treatment is $3,000, but we cannot afford that as we are young newlyweds. We lost our dog last year in a tragic accident and have been waiting to find our perfect addition.
When we heard about Sega and his love for other animals and people, we knew he'd be a perfect fit and Ethan absolutely fell in love. An American Staffordshire Terrier has always been his dream dog, and his mom has one as well. They're one of the most misunderstood breeds and are just the best dogs to have. Sega came from an abusive situation with burns and scars on his head, but that has not stopped Sega from being nothing but amazing and kind, and we are hoping by sharing his story, that we could raise enough to knock out these nasty heartworms.
If you feel you could offer a few dollars to help us reach our goal, that would be absolutely amazing. He deserves to have a long and healthy life, just like any other. If we exceed our goal, all extra will be donated to McKamey Animal Shelter to treat the mass amount of heartworm-positive dogs in their overcrowded shelter.
