Hello, my name is Hamdia Ahmed, and I’m raising funds for my dear friend, Seema Mahmoud, a Palestinian medical student from Gaza studying in Istanbul. Seema is a dedicated, compassionate individual who has faced unimaginable hardships. Despite losing numerous family members, her home, and her father to cancer, she has remained resilient, continuing her medical studies with a 3.0 GPA while supporting others. Seema’s dream of becoming a doctor is driven by her desire to help her community, and she has shown incredible selflessness throughout her life, including volunteering after the 2014 Gaza war and caring for animals in need.

However, due to the devastating impact of the war and her family’s financial struggles, Seema is now at risk of being unable to complete her degree. She is facing difficulties paying her tuition and has lost access to her university’s online system, putting her education and residency in Turkey in jeopardy. If Seema loses her residency status, she will be forced to return to Gaza, further complicating her situation. With only three years left to graduate, Seema is determined to continue her journey, but she needs our help. Any contribution will support her tuition and allow her to pursue her dream of becoming a compassionate doctor.
