Help Secure Sarah Dove's Ashes

This is Sarah Dove, my mother. She passed away a little over a week ago. She had a life insurance policy for $15,000, or so we thought. We had the memorial, and two days ago, the funeral home called and said the life insurance company is fighting the claim. I don't know what else to do but to ask for help. I live in Georgia and just went through Hurricane Helena and have lost our car and thousands of dollars in belongings, so I just don't have it and not sure when I will. I can't let my mother get treated like this. Please help a concerned son.
