Hi, while we all navigate these hard times, I’m thankful for your consideration. I’m a first-gen child of immigrants raising funds to directly support my mom who’s an undocumented single mom living alone near DTLA. She’s been a proactive member of the community for over 30 years and has fought to raise a strong family to the best of her ability.

For the last 13 years, she’s been working in the Santee Alleys selling clothes. Unfortunately, last week when ICE agents targeted her job, she has been unable to return out of fear of being detained. It’s unclear when or if it’ll be safe for her to go back to work. My sister and I are the only support she has, as my entire family has been in hiding as well.

These last 2 weeks she was only paid $300; we’re trying to raise funds to cover July's rent before we can come up with a bigger plan to secure her safety. Your donation will directly help an undocumented family gain a sense of security and community during these stressful times.
