I’m raising funds for a dear friend of mine, who is in urgent need of funds to obtain his legal identification documents. My friend is a valued community member and organizer.

It is imperative that my friend is able to get these documents to show his citizenship here in the US. He also urgently needs to obtain this documentation in order to apply for jobs and pay property taxes to secure his housing.

He is working with a legal aid organization and will need approximately $1500 for this process. This amount includes:

~$600 to complete the Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizenship Document

~$250-300 overall fee for legal aid (goes to the center)

The rest of the funds will cover notarizations, mailing fees, and having to retrieve some documents from outside the country.
