Our good friends family has hit a rough patch recently and he isn't one to ask for help... Buddha (Andrew) Smitherman is an amazing friend and person and although we used to call him grouchy in school, he is and always has been a very kind hearted individual who would do just about anything for his friends and family. He is a great father and as reliable as they come.

After a recent life changing health event left Buddhas significant other and mother of his child in a full time care facility permanently... he has suddenly become the single bread winner and sole caregiver for his diabetic special needs son. Proper care for his son is a full time job in itself, on top of the full time job he holds to keep the bills paid.

Keeping up with his fatherly duties as well as sorting out the extremely complicated hurdles they're facing is stretching him very thin financially and emotionally... and he could really use some help to stabilize their living situation, and start to regain some normalcy.

We understand the challenges he is facing and see some light at the end of the tunnel. He's got a plan and needs legal help to accomplish this goal. He's consulted with 3 different attorneys and found one he feels comfortable with. The fees are around $3,000 and we added another $1,000 to help him with unexpected expenses settling in to what is their new normal.

We know it's hard times for everyone these days, and that many are just barely getting by. We humbly ask for any help that can be provided to help him reach his goal, to gain the legal assistance he needs to navigate a very unfamiliar and complicated situation.

So that he and his family can regain their footing and put this behind them best they can.

He is not asking, we are asking for him... because he needs help. We will start off with a contribution of 10% of the goal.
