Help Secure Katelyn's Future, in memory of David Battipaglia

On Dec. 15th, my world was shattered when my beloved husband, David Battipaglia, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. It was not even a week after our 12th wedding anniversary. Dave and his twin sister had just turned 48 the day after Thanksgiving. Dave was a loving husband, father, partner, and friend who brought joy and light into the lives of everyone who knew him. His passing has left us heartbroken and searching for ways to honor his memory while ensuring that our daughter's future remains bright.

Why We Need Your Help:

As we navigate this unimaginable loss, my priority is to create a stable and promising future for our daughter, Katelyn. Losing Dave has brought unexpected emotional and financial challenges, and I want to ensure Katelyn has every opportunity to thrive despite this tragedy. Dave carried all of the health insurance and benefits, which ended in December, because of his passing. Due to my work as a licensed marriage and family therapist, and knowing how concerned I would be about caring for my clients despite my own crisis, my supervisor strongly advised me/ all but put me on leave until March. I am looking into PFML, as my job only provides earned sick time. I have started making connections with agencies to get our needs met (MassHealth, DTA, Self-Help), and am waiting for an appointment with Social Security in a few weeks.

Your support will allow us to focus on healing and moving forward without the added burden of financial stress. Any funds raised will be used to provide for Katelyn’s education, activities, and overall well-being, helping to reinforce the foundation that Dave and I created for her.

Dave's passing has left a void that can never be filled, but we can honor his legacy by investing in Katelyn’s future and ensuring she continues to feel his love and guidance in every step that she takes. Dave loved supporting Katelyn through everything she did: gymnastics, soccer, cheer, softball... even taking her to the dentist, which neither of them liked! Dave lived for his little girl, and would want to see her continue to shine.
