Professional representation. I recently went to a FedEx store to mail a package. While packaging, I picked up a Sharpie to fill in the address. The package was already open, so I used it, then put it back, not being fully aware if this was something the store did to help out customers or if somebody actually broke the seal then put it back. Soon thereafter, this guy behind the counter asks me if there was a problem with it. I politely explained the scenario. Immediately, not even a second later, he launches at me super aggressively! YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THAT! I marinate on the attack and reply, I'm not paying for something i did not open. The scenario of sending a simple package got ugly in seconds. My next move, pick up my stuff let the manager know and just leave the property. Avoid letting the scenario escalate, i.e., take the high road. So I leave, unaware that this guy is following me! I get out of the place, get in my car, and he's standing in the lot trying to block me! I stop the car, get out, and approach. Thinking this guy may have mental issues or something. I'm like, what are you doing?! He says you're paying for that Sharpie. My reply, get out of the road, go talk to your manager he knows what's up. I stand my ground. Well, guess what, I get pulled over 3 months later and they take me in. I have to pay a $5000 bail. Which, according to the 8th Amendment, is a clear violation of the ethics code in the US Constitution. I . This is the South and I'm a New Yorker. This individual shares the same last name as someone that works in the system. I certainly smell something questionable and I need a good lawyer. Anything will help. Thanks for listening. If you would kike a more detailed lay out of the scenario feel free to reach out to me and I will share.
