Help Secure Ally's Future at Frosted Faces

Donation protected
We have some neighbors going thru the heartbreaking journey of Alzheimer's. Our friends Paul and Michelle have been walking the streets of Del Dios with their beloved dogs for well over 20 years. They have big hearts and over the years have had several adopted Chihuahuas and a shepherd mix named Ally. Ally has been with Paul and Michelle for 12 years as a beloved pet. We all live over here in Del Dios on the shores of Lake Hodges and Paul and Michelle have given Ally a wonderful life. Sadly Michelle has been in a steadily decline from the progression of Alzheimer's over the past 3 years. Last year things started getting more difficult for her husband Paul as he is working for both of them and they also have 2 small Chihuahuas and 2 little parrots. Michelle has been walking the dogs for years and as Paul continued working Michelle was still trying to walk the dogs, but over the past year it was getting difficult and dangerous for the little dogs because she would forget to leash them. Neighbors pitched in to walk Michelle and the dogs home when she got lost right in front of her own home. Paul started working from home and has a helper a few times a week. They live in a small rental home and for some dementia related reason Michelle has recently started being uncomfortable with Ally in the home. They do not have a fenced yard. It’s heartbreaking that Ally was once considered her beloved companion but now Michelle becomes distraught with Ally in the house. That is how cruel Alzheimer's is. The little dogs seem to be ok for now.
I have listed Ally on my FB and we made an attempt to intro at a friend of a friend’s home but an intro to her home and dog was very confusing to Ally who has not left Del Dios in a long time so it doesn't look like it will work. Unfortunately all of the other dog loving neighbors in town, like me and my husband who adopted Islay last year, do not have dogs that would be ok with Ally coming into the home. As far as I know Ally has always gotten along with most if not all of the Del Dios dogs and was a constant fixture in our town dog park field. Even my previous jerk of a cattle dog Angus loved Ally. I am still trying to find a home but unfortunately I tried several people to take Ally as a temporary foster but none of them can and Paul really needs her out of the home for Michelle's mental state. Michelle used to work now and their funds are limited. Paul is paying a helper 4 times a week and does not have the funding. The safest place for Ally to go would be Frosted Faces. FFF is an amazing organization, and they are able to save so many dogs because they are very smart with the finances of the operation. To have a Final Wish home for a dog, especially a large dog, they need to have a donation of $2,000 to help cover the dog’s care and future medical expenses. Older dogs end up with increased need to medical care. My goal is to raise the $2,000 amount in the next week so we can get Ally to Frosted Faces asap to take the pressure off of Paul and Michelle. It is a heartbreaking situation for all of us. Anything you can offer to support this fundraiser is much appreciated. Thank you for your time reading our story.
