Help Secure Stable Home and Support Andrew's Healing Journey

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

In 2020, our lives changed forever when my wonderful and generous husband Andrew was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Despite facing surgery with courage and hope, we learned that the tumor had spread to a lymph node. We held onto faith, that time, care, and strength would bring healing. But in 2023, life tested us again when the cancer returned.

The first round of chemotherapy last year, at the University Hospital in San Antonio, TX under a MD Anderson care team, was a tough journey, but Andrew faced it with resilience. Despite the physical challenges, this experience has given him a new perspective on life. He has learned to slow down, savoring the simple beautiful moments we share as a family. He takes more time to laugh and play with our children, appreciating the small joys, and living in constant gratitude.
Now undergoing a more aggressive chemotherapy regimen, Andrew's treatment is progressive, and the results are positive. We are hopeful and inspired by his determination to keep pushing forward.

The treatment side effects have been extremely hard on him, requiring constant care and physical support. As a result, I have been unable to work because my focus has been on his recovery and well-being. We have three young children—ages 14, 8, and 5—who rely on us to provide a stable and secure home.

The length of his treatment has, over time, placed a significant toll on our finances and exhausted our resources. Credit cards, transportation for hospital admission and visits, and daily expenses have overwhelmed us.
We applied for rental assistance, but our landlord refused to participate in Section 8 vouchers for rent payment or other low-income rental assistance programs, denying us access to crucial support. The landlord has suggested that we could move out to seek more flexible options that fit our current situation; however, due to Andrew's ongoing chemotherapy treatment, relocating at this time is not feasible, considering that he's been dealing with strong side effects related to the treatement. This has placed us in a challenging position, adding significant stress to an already difficult situation as we struggle to maintain stability for his recovery and our family's well-being.

We are now at risk of losing our home at a time when Andrew needs stability for healing, and our children need a secure environment to thrive. If we lose our home, it will severely worsen our already difficult circumstances.

We are fully committed to regaining our independence and financial stability, but right now, we simply need a push to get through this crisis. We have always been hardworking and self-sufficient people. We are motivated and determined people who take pride in providing for our family and make an impact around us.

In different circumstances, we would be the ones out serving our community and bringing support to those in need. This experience, however, has confirmed a deeper purpose to serve that we believe God wants us to accomplish when Andrew fully recovers. We’ve been inspired through this journey to start a family ministry to support people who are struggling—especially those facing similar challenges of navigating financial and medical hardships. We’ve seen firsthand how difficult the system can be and want to offer hope and guidance to others in the future.

Life has thrown us a challenge that we were not prepared for. Despite these hardships, we are positive and very confident that Andrew will receive results of permanent healing. This is our daily prayer!
We are not asking for a long-term dependency. We are asking for a chance—a temporary opportunity to stabilize, heal and rebuilt. The help we receive today will encourage Andrew to recover quickly, during and after chemo and allow us to get back on our feet and, in turn, give back to our community.

We are reaching out to you—our friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters—for help. Your contribution, whether through a financial or physical donation, sharing this campaign, or offering prayers, will make a world of difference. Every act of support helps ease the financial burden, allows us to maintain stability, and supports Andrew’s continued treatment and recovery.

Please join us in this journey. Andrew has the heart of a warrior, and with your help, we can ensure he heals and that our family continues to move forward with strength and hope. Together, we can make this story one of triumph and gratitude.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and belief in us.

With gratitude,
