Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

I never imagined I would find myself in this position, but here I am, to share our story and humbly ask for your generous support in our fight for justice and peace. For the past four and a half years, I have been facing an arduous battle to secure a safe, stable, and loving life for Falcon–one in which she can thrive in all the radiant, exuberant ways she deserves. Our life before was none of those things and after I bravely escaped it, I’ve never looked back.

We’ve made great strides! With hard work, determination, and the support of MANY, I managed to be awarded Sole Custody of Falcon on December 18th. This victory meant the world to both of us, as it signified not just a legal triumph, but a chance for a brighter, more peaceful, and stable future. However, the journey is far from over. An appeal has been filed on the custody decision (meaning the case has to be completely redone at the Circuit Court level), along with a motion for a stay (meaning the latest decision is essentially thrown out until a decision is made in the appeal). I must return to court to defend the stability we have found.

In the past year alone, I have faced heinous false allegations against me of the most malicious kind, been sued twice for a staggering total of $100,000, had protective orders attempted against me, and there have been attempts to have me investigated by the Commonwealth Attorney for various false allegations. All of these attempts have been unsuccessful and dismissed. Yet, through it all, I have surmounted these challenges with resilience and strength and a MamaBear’s fierce determination. I have the will, drive, and tenacity to keep fighting for Falcon–but what I lack are the necessary funds.

My plight is more than just my personal battle; it is the fight of women everywhere who escape bad situations only to find themselves suffering a different kind of abuse–Post Separation Abuse. This insidious form of intimidation often utilizes the court system and legal tactics to destroy a parent’s ability to provide for their child–financially, mentally, and logistically. It is a tactic used to destroy one’s spirit and will to keep fighting. It is a reality too many women face when trying to reclaim their lives and protect their families.

The upcoming proceedings are CRITICAL, taking place at the Circuit Court level, and this is where I need your help. I must raise $15,000 to secure legal counsel that can effectively represent us during these proceedings. 100% of this support will go directly towards the legal fees for representation at the Circuit Court level.

EVERY donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to ensuring that Falcon remains in the safe, stable environment where she feels secure and can thrive.
