I’m a houseless entrepreneur in Hawaii who worked as a rideshare driver and delivered goods from big-box stores. My first car, bought in 2019, was a tourist rental and did well. I bought another car, which also performed well. However, I discovered I’m an adult child with a disability, leading to a financial downfall in 2022 when I became houseless. In the past three years, I’ve been healing, taking accountability, and learning financial literacy. I’ve found a job as a rideshare driver and built a dog boarding business while teaching Japanese. Unlike other houseless people, I have a reliable car and income. My last car, which has 131,000 miles, is no longer suitable for hauling groceries, ice, or dogs.
