Help Secure a Prosthetic Leg for a Brighter Future

Hello, I know I've done this a few times, but I'm finally at the very end of a very long road. My factor V Leiden (blood clotting disorder) that I struggled to get under control since I found out I had it after my first stroke in February 2021, it appears that after it caused my left leg to be amputated in July 2024 by causing dry gangrene in my leg that couldn't be treated by antibiotics because it wasn't an infection, it was caused by blocked circulation. I really hope noone finds the photos attached really graphic they show my amputated leg nearly healed so it wouldn't be a gross wound just my ugly scar.

I FINALLY got a doctor that found the correct blood thinner amount as I have had only very minor clotting issues since, the last being November 2024 in my right groin, thankfully caught before dry gangrene was able to set in.

However, after a total of 35 surgeries in 4 years, I am now in need of a prosthetic leg. All of this process has been so expensive. I tried to do as much of it myself as I could, and I've saved $3,000 towards my prosthetic, having no idea how much they cost. But since I only have Medicare coverage, the cost is going to be $9,000 out of pocket. I realize there's no way I'll collect $6,000 through GoFundMe, but I have to do all I can. The longer I go without walking, the harder it will be. I've already started walking when I go see my prosthetist with a temporary version of it, but it's not mine yet. Though getting close, they feel they are in the final stages of making adjustments, etc., and they will be sending it for completion as soon as after my visit tomorrow, which means it will be done in about 3 weeks, and I can't have it until it's paid for.
