Hello everyone! A few of you know, but for those of you that do not at the end of last month the wheelchair accessible van that I have had for a little over six years decided it was time for the transmission to go out. Within the last year collectively I have put over $4000 into it. It needs some other work as well. Without an accessible van I’ve had to put everything on hold. No going to visit family/friends. I’ve had to cancel appointments & miss events & activities that are very important to me. I have quite a few things in the next few months coming up, that i will most likely not be able to attend due to my current van, not being in working order, Most everyone that knows me knows I love the holidays and that this is my favorite time of year to be out & about. I am currently looking into a newer used van that is mechanically sound. It has a fold out ramp with updated tiedowns to keep me safe & my chair in place while in the van. With this van, I will be able to get where I need to go safely and I won’t have to worry about it breaking down before I get back home. I will be able to make it to all appointments, family events. I will be able to visit friends again. Most importantly my quality of life will improve. With being on a limited monthly income, and after much consideration, I come here to ask for help with a down payment and hopefully I will be able to move forward and be able to make payments after the van is in my possession. The total cost is less than 7,000 but I’m only seeking help with a down payment. I know times are tough for everyone.
