Amaka Nneji was an experienced development professional with over 25 years of expertise in advocacy, project management, and community mobilization. She served as the Course Manager/Lead at ASF (Apex Solutions Foundation), Nigeria, and as Project Manager for Social Services at Apex Solutions Group Foundation, where she successfully championed the mobilization of over 700 women for the EmpowerHer cohort.

Throughout her career, Amaka consulted for renowned organisations including USAID, UNICEF, the Global Fund, and OXFAM NOVIB, leading impactful programmes that promote inclusivity, life skills, and community empowerment. As co-founder of Isafe Consulting, she further demonstrated her commitment to creating safer communities by providing self-defence training for women and girls.

A passionate mentor and leader, Amaka was deeply dedicated to socio-economic empowerment, particularly for women, girls, and youth. Her time at Apex Solutions Foundation was marked by the trust and confidence she built among beneficiaries. Notably, during the EmpowerHer cohort, many participants secured business grants through her guidance and unwavering support.

Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched, inspired, and empowered.

Amaka is survived by two teenage daughters and a spouse.
