Support Sebastian’s Battle Against Oral Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nicole. Thank you for taking the time to read Sebastian's story. I created this urgent fundraiser to help raise funds towards Sebastians cancer treatment. My sweet 10 year old Pomeranian was diagnosed with oral melanoma on 6/28/24. I was devastated when I noticed the tumor growing larger on his jaw.

While he is unaware of his illness, his cancer is rather locally aggressive and is a highly metastatic cancer, that will spread to other parts of his body, such as lymph nodes, bones, lungs, liver, and kidneys if treatment is not prompted soon. Sebastian is healthy otherwise, running around playfully and enjoying the sunshine every day. He loves outdoor adventures and loves car rides but his favorite is being snuggled inside. He is one of the happiest dogs out there with so much joy for life. He still has so much to see and he refuses to let this cancer slow him down.

A Lymph node aspirate and abdominal ultrasound were needed to confirm no concerns were identified on more of these thorough staging tests. A CT scan was necessary to confirm that surgical removal is possible, and also guide how much of the mandibule will need to be removed. The oncologist is recommending surgery soon to remove the tumor before surgery isn't an option anymore. If his tumor gets any larger, surgery will likely not be an option for him since wide excision would not be possible without affecting function of his tongue or his jaw due to the location of his tumor. Between emergency hospital vet bills, all of his testing, labs, X-rays, on going treatment for pain management and being denied for Care Credit and the lack of support of funding/assistance from multiple pet organizations we have reached out to, realistically we are not able to make ends meet with the total cost needed to cover his treatment. We are desperate and in need of help to get Sebastian the treatments he needs before it spreads any further.

For those that know me personally, knows how much Sebastian means to me. For those that are hearing our story, Sebastian was abandoned and left on my front door step in a big brown box when he was just 5 weeks old 10 years ago. I have no idea who dropped him off at random on my door step that day, but I am so thankful that he chose me. I will continue to fight for him and continue to honor him.

With your help, you can be the difference that creates a better tomorrow for him. And with your support we can help give Sebastian the experience he deserves and a good quality of life during his battle with this. We would appreciate any help you are able to offer to help us reach our goal. Take Care and much love to all who has supported us through giving Sebastian a second chance of life.
