Hello. My name is Sebastian Slaughter and I am raising funds for finishing and continuing development on our dating and social media app for gamers worldwide.

HISTORY

In 2020, during the Covid pandemic lockdown, our founder was watching a love triangle unfold in his online gaming friend group (it was GTA 5). It was upsetting for him to see this, so he thought, "there must be some kind of dating app for gamers so things like this don't happen." From that point, he researched as much as he could before realizing it was up to him to build the best version of this idea for gamers across the world.

On our Home page, you are given users with their basic info and their four favorite video games displayed. Along with their photos, here is where you swipe on others to match whether you're looking for a relationship, some friends to play with, or both!

COMMUNITY

One of the most important things about video games is the community. Gaming is one of the most important things to us as well as billions of others worldwide. It is an escape, a cozy feeling, a creative outlet, and an incredible way to bond with others. With this in mind, we created a space within Duos called the Community. In this forum, users post about gaming--promoting their streams, showing off gameplay, chat about upcoming releases, and more!

WHAT WE'RE FIXING

With the help of your backing, we are improving upon our Early Access release so we are able to fully launch Duos! Things that will be fixed include bug fixes, UI changes, fixes to our swiping logic, and more! The entire budget will go towards development for a speedy, efficient update!

WHAT'S COMING

Duos is nearing it's 1.0 full release. Our development has been nonstop over 2 years and are squashing tons of bugs and making all the improvements we possibly can. Once launched, Duos will be available in the Google Play Store worldwide. After the release, we will immediately dive into fixing whatever new bugs come about as well as more major improvements to UI. Along with these fixes, adding Duos to the iOS App Store!
